New. Improved. Kindle. Photos.

It’s Amazon’s Kindle: a book that can hold 1000s of books, an entire library’s worth, in less the weight than a single book. It’s easier to read than a laptop—much—you can read it in the sun on a beach with your sunglasses on. It’s eco as all hell—trees everywhere will thank you, though I wonder if the loss of tree farms is a good or bad thing, carbon-wise. (And we all love books, and what would happen if all the electricity in the world shorted out, would we all lose all our books in a Kindle-ful future?) It’s the end of pricey textbooks, of dragging 200 pounds of books to school. It’s 25% thinner than the new iPhone. It’s Oprah’s fave. It’s a sci-fi creation, here at last.
