Reduce Your Forkprint: Stephanie Bernstein’s To-Go Ware.

Think you’re green? Check the size of your trashcan. 85% of trash is compostable—so you’re only as eco as the number of pounds you send to your friendly local landfill each week. For we speedy, greedy Americans, eating on the go is a daily habit. So ecopreneur Stephanie Bernstein designed these stylish kits to keep up with you. Made by a women-owned coop in Delhi, the case is made by ragpickers who collect and repurpose discarded plastic bags (and the Newsprint style is made of…recycled newspaper). The bamboo utensils are dishwashable and renewable. You never need use another single-use utensil again. via Waylon Lewis, from elephant journal’s Holiday 08 print issue.
