Time for the Sustainable Living Fair in Ft. Collins, Colorado!

What’s Blue and Green and Spins?

What’s blue and green and spins? The annual Blue and Green Ball, a gala event that kicks off the 11th annual Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Fair this weekend in Fort Collins.  I will be covering the highlights of the fair all weekend.

The Blue and Green Ball is where the who’s who of the Northern Colorado sustainability world “nibble on locally produced edibles, imbibe  hand-crafted brews and wine, bop and spin to live entertainment, and mingle with our conscientious comrades.”

Keynote Speakers at this years sustainable living fair include: Heather C. Flores, author of Food Not Lawns, and Jeff Mapes, author of Pedaling Revolution,  Andrew Harvey, founder of the Institute for Sacred Activism and  Doug Fine, author of Farewell My Subaru.

Here’s some cool statistics for the 2009 RMSLF – Exhibitors 250 – Attendees 12,202 – Workshops 87 – Hours of Education 141.5 – Volunteers 331 – ONLY 360 lbs of trash – 90% waste diversion –  320 Metric Tons of Co2 offset
