Boulder – On October 10, people across the planet will pick up hammers, shovels, and caulking-guns and join the 10/10/10 Global Work Party, the world’s largest day of practical action to fight the climate crisis. Over 4,000 events will take place worldwide, with more than 55 workshops and work parties planned across Colorado to reduce carbon emissions and celebrate clean energy solutions.

Forty carbon-cutting workshops and work parties have been registered by local groups, businesses, city departments, campaigns and local experts as part of the Boulder 350 Global Work Party. A mid-day youth “iMatter March” and a rally are also planned. Rally speakers will include Hunter Lovins from Natural Capitalism Solutions, Jonathan Koehn from the City of Boulder, a representative of Michael Bennet (tentative), and noted local activists. The day will end with a Carrotmob Party at the St Julien Hotel, which won the Boulder Carrotmob contest by committing 50% of the party’s profits to carbon-reduction initiatives at their facility.
