Ken “No Abortion even in Cases of Rape or Incest” Buck looks to win Senate race by 10 points if Democrat turnout is low.

Will Democrats wake up? Nah.

The race is dead even with current Senator Michael Bennet. But polls show Republicans are fired up to turn out and vote. Will Democrats and moderates wake up in time?

On Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010, mid term elections will decide a Senate seat in Colorado…and we are set to elect the extreme Ken Buck if things don’t change fast.  His farrr right views are what we are going to be stuck with representing of the great state of Colorado.

With him comes his hardline stances on such issues as abortion.  He believes that there should be no abortion (even if the child is conceived via rape or incest) except in the case that the life of the mother is in danger.  Mind you this is his softened stance.

He even tried to blame a woman for her own rape. Is this really the man we want making decisions for Colorado residents in the United States Senate? I may be liberal, and young, but I’m happy to be represented by moderates on either side of the aisle. This man is quite something else entirely.

He did change his stance on Amendment 62, meaning he would now vote no, which is a huge swing.  This amendment would grant personhood status to fertilized eggs.  This would end abortion all together and even some methods of contraception.  It would even interfere with a couple reproductive technologies.  His changes in stances to get elected prove to me that he will change his stance to suit his needs, but also might just alienate the base that helped push him into prominence.

Ladies and gentlemen, your potential Colorado state Senator…

If you care about this issue, the above may be enough to start a fire in your soul to get out and vote for who you believe represents you!

Thank you A Radical Profeminist for the thumbnail image.
