Hey Everybody! Look Over Here! Free Stuff!
The Opening Ceremony with Melissa Michaels has just ended. We grounded ourselves — and the whole festival, by proxy — through improvised movement set to cool, groovy music on this hot hot afternoon which has now turned to evening.
I am sitting on the lawn in the middle of the Hanuman vendors village as I compose this. It is a glorious day in downtown Boulder, and there are beautiful people busy everywhere preparing for the impending spectacularity of this weekend.
Here is the complete schedule of Hanuman Festival events which are entirely free of charge and open to the public.

Aykanna – Sadhana Morning Meditation — All Levels
Location: Fire Studio, St. Julien Hotel— Sadhana or daily spiritual practice is the foundation of all spiritual endeavor. The Aquarian Sadhana is practiced by Kundalini Yoga communities across the world. Yogi Bhajan gave us the Aquarian Sadhana in 1992 to take us through the transition into the Aquarian Age. This sadhana prepares our psyches to excel in the new environments in the decades that follow. During the “ambrosial hours” (the two and a half hours just before sunrise), before you face the world each day, do yourself a favor and tune up your nervous system and attune yourself to your highest inner self. To cover all your bases, Sadhana includes exercise, meditation, and prayer.

— The four elements of astrology – fire, air, earth and water – describe the primary nature of your constitution or your character. The Elements dress up your personality and serve as the clothing for the soul – they give the soul form. Your elements are the expression of your soul in the material realm.
Simply learning about the elements will help you understand your character and where best to focus your energies. The one-word summary for each element is: Fire = Energy, Air = Intellect, Earth = Practicality, Water = feeling.
Using the four elements you can identify the natural gifts and challenges that you were born with; then you can imagine looking down at yourself from a high observation deck, as though watching your story being enacted on stage while you are the audience. From this position you can observe your elemental personality, where you can “coast” and where you might have to work a bit to get the results you want.
2 pm — 3:15 pm
