“Spitting image” was a British satyrical political show that aired for 12 years until 1996. Using latex puppets and the voices of many top impersonators and comedians.
Most people in the UK (of my age anyway) will remember the programme quite fondly. It showed what was going on in the world of politics but, made fun of those involved in politics as well. It wasn’t biased, it made fun of everybody but, tended to go for the throat of those who deserved it!
The show was too expensive to keep running and many people still miss it. While watching a TV show about the 80’s, I came across this short little video clip. Not comedy but, quite poignant still today as it was way back then.
