Celebrate Being in the Moment this Summer. {Partner}

The summer offers much to celebrate.

elephant is proud to partner with Pekoe, a wonderful business we’ve enjoyed hanging out in (and drinking) for years. We love laptopping it up at their sip houses around Boulder and enjoying their yummy, mindfully-sourced coffee & teas. ~ the Management.

Here, in Colorado, we have beautiful weather, awesome people and delicious food…all the great makings for a lot of fun parties. Of course there are the usual celebrations and holidays, like the Fourth of July and Labor Day, but my favorites are the more frivolous get-togethers, the BBQs and brunches that are merely an excuse to get together with good people and have a great time. I love the various music-in-the-park events (choose your park, nearly all of them offer something) where you can bring your picnic and dine alfresco. Even my three-year-old says, “Everything tastes better outside.” It’s easy to be more social in the summer with more daylight and warmer weather, and it’s also a lot of fun. In my opinion, every one could use more fun.

The first step to having more fun is to recognize it and enjoy it when it shows up. We are all so busy that it’s tempting to turn down invitations for the aforementioned gatherings. Don’t do it.

Have fun this summer and enjoy life and those you share it with.

Who cares that it might be ninety-five degrees outside? My party guests will be able to cool down with frosty cold, small-batch iced and chai teas from my favorite local business Pekoe Sip House. I like to create a do-it-yourself cocktail bar with bottles of fresh iced tea and iced chai concentrate, lemonade, sparkling water (add alcohol of choice, if you like). There are plenty of mixing options for many refreshing beverages to please every palate. And since it’s do-it-yourself, I can spend my time having fun with my family and friends.

I plan on looking for any excuse I can find to celebrate this summer season and I hope you do too! What are you going to celebrate this summer?
