Hiring: Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis: Assistant Producer.

Dear elephriends,

Flakes or passive types need not apply. If you’re hardcore, motivated, and obsessed with youtube, send us your resume and cover letter.

“Walk the Talk Show hiring in Boulder.

We’ll pay a fair amount, depending partially on experience. Needs to be someone hardcore who gets the youtube revolution (just on the cover of the NY Times today, a article about how all the big talk shows on TV are now all about trying to get viral clips on youtube the next day).”

Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis, a leading green online video talk show series based in Boulder, Colorado, is hiring an experienced and/or talented part-time Assistant Producer. We’re in need of someone who can take the lead on event scheduling, coordination, PR and marketing–anything and everything that goes into a video talk show and live event, and can come on board and take control fast. We’re ready to train.

What’s Walk the Talk Show with Waylon LewisIt’s a fun, yet fundamentally serious 45 minute show featuring two interviews, comedy/art, and a live band. Our goal is to take equal parts TED Talks, Jon Stewart, Charlie Rose, Jonny Carson, and most of all Between Two Ferns, mix ‘em up in a blender, and serve it up raw. We host it on elephantjournal.com: 1.4 million readers/month as well as through our social media (twitter #1 in US twice for #green; FB with 200K total fans, etc. Also we pay other sites to host depending on views they send us).

We’ve previously featured Arianna Huffington, Amy Goodman, Seane Corn, Michael Pollan, Deepak Chopra, Paul Hawken, Alice Walker, Howard Dean, Bill McKibben, Chris Sharma, Michael Franti, Ken Wilber, Dr. Andrew Weil, Governors, Congressmembers and Senators…and we’ve been featured at festivals, expos and conferences around the US…for more.

We’re working on lining up location, sponsors, agent, PR, production team and, now, a producer/coordinator.

Sponsors: If you’d like to sponsor the live events/videos, you’d get a commercial or logo, and live stuff (giveaways) as well as social media tags, shoutouts. And the videos themselves will go into our new video player, which will be available to 100s of sites (we’ll be paying sites to host it, so if you have a blog that wants content, contact me).

Main urgent reason for this announcement, now: if you know of anyone interested in producing the show, they need to 1) be psyched to intern (film, door, whatever) or 2) be professional, we’re looking for both volunteers and a 20-40 hour/week coordinator/producer type.

Please leave a comment on this blog or contact us if you’d like us to respond (we can’t keep track of FB or twitter responses).

Yay!

Yours in the Vision of Enlightened Society,

Waylon Lewis
