Joyful Reunion Between Two Long Lost Gorilla “Brothers”. {Video}

“Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That’s the problem.” — A.A. Milne

Too beautiful not to share, and something perhaps to inspire a momentary pause of heart—two long lost gorilla ‘brothers’ finally reunited after 2 years. Kesho, 13, had been separated from younger brother Alf, 9 ,to participate in a gorilla breeding program at another zoo. When Kesho proved to be infertile, it was decided the two should be reunited as family again.

However, the greatest fear of the zookeepers was that these two would not ‘know’ one another—that they wouldn’t remember their brotherly bond.

How little we understand of this world…to think that love and compassion is exclusively human.

Their reunion, all captured on film, stunned experts and onlookers alike—as the two engaged in an immediate display of bear hugs, should pats, and other ‘I have so very much missed you’ behavior.

Perhaps, we all might benefit from a little ‘talking less’ and a whole lot of ‘listening more’?

Namaste, my most beautiful friends…and much love this day.
