This “Journalism” brought to US by Fox News.
“Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.” – Friedrich Schiller
But first! Update: Here’s Reza’s three-party, very different interview on Daily Show:
“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” ~ Isaac Asimov
“On the second page of my book it says I’m a Muslim…”
Via Reddit (“This is the worst interview I have ever seen (video)“), a few wonderful comments:

It would be like considering yourself a journalist even though you work for fox news.

I wrote a historical book using my 20 years of academic research.” “But you’re a Muslim.” “Yes, but I wrote the book because I’m interested in Jesus.” “But you’re a Muslim.” “The book has nothing to do with Islam.” “But you’re a Muslim.”

The irony is that Reza, a Muslim, believes in something Islam heavily states did not happen – that Jesus was crucified.
As soon as he mentioned that, there shouldn’t even be a doubt of if this was academic and not religious.
Also Muslims do believe in Jesus btw (that he was a very important prophet), just that he wasn’t crucified.

I cannot get over how patient he is with this idiot woman. She is ridiculously unprofessional and unprepared. I would’ve lost my cool within the first minute. Sounds like an interesting book!

You can tell he decided to treat her like a child from the get go. That’s how he speaks to her. Once you establish that you are not dealing with an adult, it becomes easier.

It’s like when Bill Nye was on Fox News that one time and the interviewer tried to make a point about moon volcanoes causing global warming on the moon meant fossil fuels don’t contrbiute to global warming.

That did it for me. Only fox news could air a quote like that: they seem to think that was an argument. Because obviously all democrats would lie about anything related to republicans
…Which reminds me of Jon Stewart‘s comment that you can’t imagine an argument that isn’t based in political bias.
