Venus Retrograde is in Forward Motion, Thank Goodness.

A quiet mystery blankets my senses, allowing the final steps of Venus retrograde and her reflections to capture my heart.

“Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love” ~ Albert Einstein

She has a way with me. Venus rules my life, and I find her majestic brilliance in the sky to be completely mesmerizing. She has been retracing some steps this month, only to find her way into forward motion again in a few days.

Thank goodness. Balancing what she wants and needs with what I want and need is a bit overwhelming.

She wants me to revisit some past mistakes. She begs me to redo almost everything that was already seemingly done. She shines brightest in the sky, sits close to the moon on occasion and chats and pulls and pushes until she gets her message across.

I think we have heard her this time around.

She is the first light to illuminate the sky at night, as she waits for the others to catch up to speed. Venus refuses to allow love to wander and trip upon itself. She is the primary force in all relationships, money and tactile senses.

She doesn’t want to make waves. She would rather glide along in the heavens and impart her knowledge of experience and wisdom on all who look up and take notice and appreciate her beauty.

She is a bit of a gypsy.

She comes and goes and travels until her message has become gospel. We adore her. We name kittens and children after her, place altar offerings in her honor and open our chests wide enough to allow her love and exhilaration rest inside of us.

Venus is the second planet from the sun. Her maximum brightness is shortly before sunrise and on the heels of the sunset. She is considered Earth’s sister planet because of their similar bulk, size and body composition.

But, she is unique.

She is the hottest planet in the solar system, so she can’t be touched or traveled to at all. She adventures through the morning and night sky. Venus is the only planet named after a female. As a Roman goddess orb, she was named for the most beautiful deity of her pantheon. Ancient astronomers revel in her light and power.

She has been going a bit backwards since December, revealing a dark shadowy side where we might have gotten lost and confused. In the past 40 days, we resisted to begin anything new related to love or the purchase of expensive material goods (she is queen of luxury, but wanted us to scale back, reassess our belongings and why we need them). Venus wanted to ensure that all old business was cleaned up and no illicit affairs of the heart were involved during this time frame.

She asked us to explore our creativity and inner world.

It might have seemed easy to retreat from socializing or important relationships, but the Venus gypsy soul wanted us to learn more about loving ourselves. There were moments during her retrograde where tension rose and emotions came to grips, but this was her dark side not letting up.

Some of us got wayward in her presence—floundering, wandering and being impatient. We knew her awestruck existence was there, as we were clinging to the past and hoping for a hint of something more.

We evaluated the real worth of people and things in our life.

We kept to our own devices and got defensive and discerning about unresolved issues. She never let up.

Relationships weren’t perfect, nor do they need to be. Venus made sure of that.  If we stayed in the light side of her awareness, we deemed love to be necessary.

Getting lost in the soul of Venus has been both a blessing and a curse. She did her job. She showed us the light and the dark side of human nature.

Now, after taking a month’s worth of notes, we can breathe deeply and take relevant action with people, relationships and material goods.

She has traveled through our waiting souls and has taught us the meaning of authenticity, love and total beauty. She is moving forward now, ready and willing and taking us all with her.

Thank you, Venus.
