If I live to be 98 I want to be like Evelyn, or my one of my grandparents.
I watched my grandmother live into her 90’s. She cared for my grandfather and he followed her soon after she passed away. I loved them dearly and still miss them.
I cared for my other grandfather for a year while Parkinson’s still allowed him some independence. I’ve known few people who’ve enjoyed life like him.
Evelyn doesn’t remind me of them because she’s vivacious. She reminds me of them because she cares about those around her and she quite simply goes about doing so.
