This clip of Sadie describing how she feels about her baby brother Carson and herself growing up is priceless. It is obvious that Sadie loves Carson something fierce and he is one lucky little guy.

Sweet Sadie, at the tender age of five, touched my heart deeply on so many levels. She expresses so straightforwardly and with more heartfelt and honest emotion, what I think many of us feel about aging but may be to afraid to explore within ourselves or be willing to say out loud.

As adults, we may have lost touch with some of these feelings that live deep within our hearts. The idea of throwing all abandon to the wind and loving with all of our hearts can be scary. It comes with the possibility of one day losing that love, but in my experience, it is so worth it to jump in with both feet.

Leave it to a very special and wise-hearted little girl to remind us what is truly important in life: Feelings of love. Enjoying a loved one’s smile. And most of all, being present in our emotions and our relationships so that we may enjoy each precious moment that we are given with vulnerability and open hearts.

This is a great reminder to love with all that we’ve got and with the wonder of a child’s heart.
