The gender gap exists not only in the workplace, but also on our bikes.
Part of the mission of Bike Stylish is to remove the barriers that everyday people face, especially women, in choosing to incorporate biking into their daily lives.
Around the world men still bike three times as much as women.
Recently Elizabeth Plank, a Senior Editor at Mic, launched an piece showcasing real women cyclists and encouraging others to share their story using the hashtag #IBikeBecause. Here are a few of our favorite photos from 21 Photos of Women Who Shatter the Stereotype of What a Real Biker Looks Like.
