“Inquiring into Technique, Alignment and Lineage:” a talk with Richard Freeman.
Richard talks about methodology of asana as a dialectic between sthira (grounded) and sukha (happy or comfortable), the inbreath and outbreath and technique as the continual process of refining your actions to navigate skillfully down the path without causing suffering to yourself or others. He also touches on Buddhism and suffering and the patterns of prana and apana and the ego as a “divine function in the mind,” until we start to identify with it.
This talk was recorded at the Yoga Workshop in Boulder on October 19th, 2014.
