Leos will naturally light up a room with their smile and charm.

We can’t help but notice the way they shine and captivate a crowd.

We’re transitioning into a period where the sign of Leo is about to take center stage—the place they love best. On July 22^nd the Sun will transition into the heart of the Lion (aka: LEO) and remain there till August 23^rd. Leo Birthday Season is upon us and time to wish all of them a good year ahead.

Given the circumstances, I see this as the perfect time to recognize and embrace them for all of their heartfelt qualities.

Leo is the sign that dares to follow its dreams—no matter what, they will always find a way to make them happen. Life is their stage and they are more than happy to play part. Nobody can put on a show like a Leo. As spectators we can’t help but notice their sometimes flamboyant and extravagant ways.

They embrace all the ups, downs and all-arounds because they know something that some of us forget. A Leo knows they are the rulers of their own destiny. They are born seeking purpose. When the going gets tough, a Leo knows something has to change and they’ll move mountains to get through the hurdles.

A Leo knows how to breathe in courage and exhale fear. They will be the one who takes a stand and fight for what they believe in. Everyone else backs away—but a Leo sticks around to put up the good fight.

It doesn’t matter if we agree with them or not; when a Leo believes in something they go in strong. The opinion of others never sways them.

In the game of life a Leo never loses. We’ll never hear them say “Why me.” They’ll roar “Try me” instead. They are going to either win or learn something through the process. This belief comes naturally and helps them keep moving—despite the odds. The thought of failure never stops them.

J.K. Rowling, a favorite Leo author, once said, “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.”

They always find a way to embrace all of their experiences (both failure and success) and take something positive out of them.

When it comes to relationships a Leo will always need to be the king or queen and make sure we know it. They’ll make no hesitation to show how much they want us too. However, we should remember that a Leo doesn’t need anyone. They have everything it takes to handle things all on their own.

Underneath the façade is really the most fragile heart. They’re kittens on the inside and love to show their affection. They love fiercely and protect us in our darkest hour. Nobody can compare to their generosity and warm-hearted nature. A Leo will always love to help you—just make sure to thank them because they love to be appreciated too. The truth of the matter is that those that are ungrateful will be kicked to the curb.

Speaking of relationships, Leos are going to one of the signs most affected by the Venus Retrograde period this summer. This karmic relationship period highlights the attributes of Leo and everything it’s about. It may cause a lot of our lions to reevaluate what’s truly making them happy and whether or not they are being valued as they should. So if you have one in your life—make sure to remind them how much they are appreciated.

A true Leo is fiercely proud of their accomplishments and enjoy telling us a tale or two about them. If we’re not receptive, feelings could get hurt. But when they deeply care about someone, pride takes the back burner and they fight for love.

Tempt them and we’ll hear their roar. They want what they want when they want it. Patience is not their strong suit, so don’t promise a Leo something you can’t deliver or they will get aggravated.

They love to laugh and play but don’t play games with their emotions. Reading minds is not their strong suit either. Be straight with them because if you don’t speak up they will. They have no problem walking away and letting go. Leos are forgiving—but if you break their hearts, they’ll never forget the damage caused.

A Leo won’t hesitate to walk out the door and never come back.

I want to end with a phrase that makes me think of a Leo every time I hear it. It’s a reminder that eventually everything does fall into place. Maybe it doesn’t look exactly the way we want but it still works. When a Leo says “Trust me…I got this,” we know that mountains will move and things are about to happen.
