into the ethos
and a knock
came at my door…
I answered it,
I held my torch,
She paused,
and came in for tea,
laughter ensued for a moment
like days past…
A moment of silence, healing, acknowledgement
and she left
as quietly as she came
closing the door softly,
yet swift with intention—
I stood hopeful,
wondering,
as she
meandered
back into
the evening
