11 Ways to Have the Sexiest Valentine’s Day for Free.

“You don’t find love, it finds you. It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate and what’s written in the stars.” ~
Anaïs Nin

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and there is nothing sexier than being able to express our love for the one whom our hearts beat.

Whether you get into celebrating Valentine’s Day or not, there are small, creative ways to show your partner you care without breaking the bank or giving a mass-produced gift that lacks originality.

The reality is diamonds aren’t forever, but the love of our one person can decorate our souls more richly than all the gems in the world.

We should focus on showing love every single day—not just by saying I love you, but by how we treat them. After all, love is felt more than anything else.

This Valentine’s Day, let’s leave behind the chocolate hearts and red roses, and instead take the time to really show our lover what they mean to us and how they move us in this life.

If you’re up for the challenge, here are 11 ways to have the sexiest Valentine’s Day ever with your lover—one that they truly will never forget.

1. Come and get me.

Create a scavenger hunt for your lover by scattering Post-it notes around the house that lead to you as the final destination. If you’re a woman planning the hunt, you could make it even sweeter by wearing your sexiest and silkiest lingerie so that when he finds you, there’s no doubt it has been worth his while.

2. Buy one, get one free.

Coupons can be a fun and interesting way to express your feelings and desires to someone. Consider hand-making some for gifts like a home-cooked meal, a full body massage, or even a strip tease. There are no rules about this, except to have fun and not limit yourself on how creatively you want to love.

3. Let me count the ways.

Cut up little red hearts and fill a jar with them, labeling each one with a reason why you love your significant other. We often get preoccupied with schedules and forget to tell our partner how much it means when they do small things for us, like holding us for a few extra minutes at the end of a long day.

4. Don’t let go.

Sure, we hug the person we are with—but do we really hug them? Do we press our bodies against one another, feeling each other’s heartbeat? Do we let our bare skin caress one another’s bodies; do we just take the time to hold one another? This Valentine’s Day, embrace your partner—and don’t let go. Rub their shoulders, trace their collarbone, marvel at the wonder of them and the feeling you have in their arms.

5. Go parking.

Who said parking was just for high school? Why not take a drive to a scenic location, put on some old school slow jams and recline the seats? Take a night to remember when the sweetest kisses were also those that were the most innocent—it doesn’t matter if you’ll be going home together afterward. Let yourself remember that sometimes it’s the simple things that mean the most.

6. Wish upon a falling star.

We all hope to find ourselves within a love endorsed by the stars, so this Valentine’s Day, spend a night stargazing with the one you love. Whether it’s a walk to the beach or a snowy evening stroll under the stars, take the time to remember that in this big beautiful world, you and your lover found each other.

7. Table for two.

Even though you will have to buy the ingredients, preparing a meal at home for your love is significantly less expensive than going out to a nice restaurant on this holiday. Set the scene with a table cloth and candles. If we are women, we can cook his favorite meal and then wait for him Julia Roberts style in Pretty Womanwhat man wouldn’t find that delicious?

8. Take a dip.

Have you ever set the stage and prepared a relaxing bath for your man? While many may not admit to having experienced one or believe they aren’t interested, our men deserve to be pampered just like we do. Light a few candles and using some lavender or rose bubble bath, create the ultimate bath relaxation experience for him. Perhaps join him and give him a shoulder massage as he relaxes against you. There’s nothing hotter than spending some quality time soaking up bubbles together.

9. Kiss it until it hurts.

We all love having a full body massage, but how many of us have ever given one to our lover, from head to toe? This Valentine’s evening, prepare a room with candles and incense, turn up the heat or get in front of a roaring fire, and take the time to linger over your lover’s body. Massage your lover’s well-worn muscles, and let your own body be part of the experience by letting your hair or eye lashes graze their skin. Even try pressing your entire body against theirs. There’s no reason that a simple massage can’t become erotic when it’s your lover touching you in all the right places.

10. Netflix and chill.

Why go out when you can just stay in? On Valentine’s Day, public places becomes busy and overcrowded, and fighting for a parking space or a table doesn’t exactly say romance. Instead, I suggest just making the choice to stay in. Get in your comfiest sweats, make some sweet treats or popcorn and cuddle up with the one you love under a cozy blanket and let the rest of the world disappear. The best part is, you won’t get asked to leave for making out in your own home.

11. Say it out loud.

In a world of texting and memes, it seems many of us have forgotten what it’s like to write down the secrets of our hearts and actually put pen to paper. This Valentine’s Day, you don’t need money in order to impress your lover—all you need is the truth. Tell them exactly how you feel about them, how they light up a room by simply being themselves and how there isn’t any other place you’d rather be than in their arms. There’s no such thing as saying too much when it comes to love—so why not just open up, and let your heart be your greatest gift this holiday?
