Stephen Colbert Declares Victory in the Wake of Trump’s “No Talent” Insult. {Hilarious Video}

“Making jokes about you has been good for ratings. It’s almost as if the majority of Americans didn’t want you to be president. But you know who’s got really bad ratings these days? You do. Terrible approval numbers. I hear they’re thinking about switching your time slot with Mike Pence.”  ~ Stephen Colbert

Just in time for his birthday, the funniest funnyman of our time, Stephen Colbert, has achieved what he has been striving for: Getting President Trump to say his name.

After the Commander-in-Chief attacked Colbert in a recent Time interview, calling him a “no talent guy who says nothing very funny,” to which Colbert declared, “There’s only one thing for me to say, I won!” And adding to the hilariousness of this moment was his Trump impersonation voice.

Does it get any funnier than seeing the so-called “leader of the free world” engaged, as usual, in a battle of insults and egos? How predictable can you be, Mr. President? It seems as though Mr. Trump cannot resist taking the bait when it comes to insults and arguments. And my favorite was, as Colbert put it so eloquently:

“Mr. Trump, there’s a lot you don’t understand, but I never thought one of those things would be show business. Don’t you know I’ve been trying for a year to get you to say my name? ‘Oh, please, don’t make me trend on Twitter again! Don’t throw me in that #briarpatch!’”

It’s almost comical to witness Trump’s inability to see that he’s playing into exactly what Colbert wants! One would think that someone like Trump would realize that in the TV realms of show business, controversy equals ratings. And that even negatively attacking Colbert gives attention to his show which will thus boost ratings to make Colbert even more indispensable to “The Late Show.”

One would also think that one of the most powerful men in the world would understand this simple kindergarten level logic.

But hey, what do I know? I don’t want to give it all away, so watch it for yourself here:
