Stumbling Wild, I Remain Free. {Poem}

Somewhere along the path, I lost my way.

I forgot who I was; I was trying to blend in—
A struggling, stumbling spirit, yearning for something more.

My legs buckled.

For I seek a relentless joy: to engage my soul to laugh and play.
I rewrite my definition of brave: to love again, to live again, to dream again.
I know I am meant for more than this.

Still waters run deep, but my emoceans have never been still.
Frothing and churning,
My tides run high and low.

I seek to understand what makes us different?
What makes us all the same?

To trust my feet and the path they’ve chosen,
My dreams will carry me further than what could possibly be known.

I remain wild.

I remain free.
