Why a Life Coach Won’t Change your Life.

I am a big proponent of continual self-growth, self-help, and self-expansion.

I believe wholeheartedly that life coaches can impact lives. In the process of finding a coach, we immediately shift into an attitude of discovery, rather than disbelief, at our own potential. Hiring a life coach and investing mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially is a brilliant “yes” to ourselves and our growth.

I am a life coach and I see a life coach. I know that I can only help and serve others to the extent that I help and serve myself.

This work, professionally and personally, is transformative and wildly fulfilling. I can’t recommend it enough.

Other people can see things in us that we have difficulty uncovering. I see things in my clients in 30 seconds that have taken them 10 years to realize. From day one, we can dig up limiting beliefs and subconscious thought patterns that are running our lives, and stifling our true joy, light, passion, and purpose.

But there’s a catch.

When we discover our limiting beliefs, we can use the knowledge of what’s holding us back to ignite freedom or to validate why we are broken.

When we discover what’s stifling our joy, we can use that knowledge to choose new thought patterns, new actions, and a new life. Or we can use that awareness to dig deeper into the holes of, “I’m broken” and“I’m not good enough.”

When we discover what’s holding us back, it’s important to recognize what we do with this information. And why we do it.

Do we wallow in self-loathing, entertaining the thought pattern of, “Why me?”

Or do we see this pattern—why it doesn’t serve us any longer—and make a new choice?

Self-love, self-growth, joy, money, success—these are all choices.

A life coach can push you to grow beyond your wildest dreams. A life coach can even help you speed up the process. But a life coach can’t change your life.

Only you can do that.
