Take your Power Back

“When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation. Change the situation, or accept it. All else is madness.” Eckhart Tolle

This is a month for releasing and stopping karmic cycles, as there are two eclipses (one already occurred on July 2nd and the second is a lunar eclipse coming July 16th). Eclipses shine a light on what is hidden. This month, we may be choosing not to see difficult truths that we are hiding from ourselves. Also, Mercury is in retrograde until July 31st. Mercury rules karma, as well as communication, travel, electronics, and technology.

When we look outside of ourselves for validation, we give our power away to others. It is time to take our power back. It is time to stop living in the victim mentality and take responsibility for our lives right now in this moment.

We have all been hurt, and we have each hurt others. Whatever happened, happened. It might have been terrible. It might have totally sucked. But it’s over, and we don’t need to watch it on replay if it caused us pain.

We can choose our thoughts and actions. We are the architects and builders of our lives, and our thoughts and actions are the blueprints, bricks and mortar.

If we give our power away to others, we choose the victim role. Was it right that someone mistreated us? No, absolutely not. There is no excuse for that. However, do you want to spend the rest of your days crying about past hurts? No! You want to get busy living.

So how can we take our power back and stop the victim mentality? First, we need to realize that everyone who comes into our life teaches us something. And if this particular person or situation was hurtful, hopefully we’ve learned that people like this are not good for us, and will not choose that again. Until we learn our lessons, the same type of person or situation will continue to show up. When we realize that we deserve better, we will attract and choose better people.

Also, we need to own our part in what happened. If we keep rewarding and accepting bad behavior, we have a role in the relationship too.

If we are caught in the karmic cycle, we will keep repeating the same patterns (possibly across lifetimes) because we want a different outcome. Sometimes, this is just not going to happen. So it is up to us to move beyond the karmic cycle, release it and move on, raising our energy frequency and stepping out of the karmic loop.

It is time for sovereignty, for owning our power.

If we stay with a person or in a situation that is harmful, we are choosing that. It is time to leave and take control of our life and our choices, and take our power back.

This life is happening now. Don’t waste it. Don’t let it pass you by.
