When the Grief Feels like it’s Breaking You, Read This.

My heart hurts for you, but my spirit is holding on to hope. 

To everyone who is suffering:

I’m praying that your higher power helps you through every step you take. I’m praying for earth angels to guide you, carry you, love you, understand you, and support you.

I’m praying for peace in your hearts and souls. I’m praying for calm, understanding, protection.

Let the waves come and go. Be silent when you don’t want to speak. Cry when you need to release. Walk away and scream if you have to. Don’t forget to breathe. Close your eyes, and replay happier times.

Take a moment to look at the sky, a nearby tree, a blade of grass, a falling leaf. Tell yourself it’s okay. Thank life for every blessing you have ever had. When it feels like the day is just too big to face, take it minute-by-minute.

Forgive yourself when you feel like you’re failing. Rest when you’re weak. Then get up and try again.

It might look like this is easy for me to say, but it’s hard for me to believe my own words sometimes. Today’s one of those days. But I’m going to do my best, keep praying, and hope that’s enough. I wish the same for you.
