Poem – Path of the Shaman

She didn’t choose the road she’s on.
She thought by now she’d have somewhere to belong.
But these loving arms are just a sojourn.
Before she knows it, they’ll be gone,
And she’ll be back on that moonlit road alone
Wondering why the path of Love is so long.
The journey’s been beautiful, don’t get her wrong.
It made her humble, it made her strong.
The heart she found, it was her own.
The child she bore, her precious soul.
Every illusion now shattered and torn,
But she must keep moving on.
There’s much to be done, more souls to be won,
More love to give than she has ever known.
Is this her destiny, for this did she come?
To bring love to many, but belong to none.
