Perspectives on Retrospect

Sometimes I feel we take life for granted and forget how lucky we are. People create negativity and spread hate especially with what is going on in the world. Putting into a different perspective and looking at the bigger picture the probability of humans to exist was very slim.

The probability of how Earth formed and became sustainable and habitable for life is astounding. The so-called anthropic principle: the observation that certain fundamental constants of nature appear fine tuned in a way that causes the underlying properties of the universe to be balanced near a boundary that enables Earth and it’s life to exist. A little too far to either side the nature of the cosmos would be radically different. Tweak the relative strength of gravity and either no stars form and are quickly gone, leaving no pathway for life. Similarly, alter the electromagnetic force and the chemical bonds between atoms would be too weak or too strong to build the diversity of molecular structures that allows such incredible complexity in the cosmos. Think about it. What a phenomenon for you and I to be here. Why can’t we take better care of Earth, judge less, love a little louder, be more kind and understanding, do more good, be more giving, spread positivity, care about what matters.
