Can you imagine floating in paradise?
The light glistening off your curls
Head in the clouds, on top of the world
To see how it twist and it twirls

A smile as wide as lips allow
Happiest eyes crease below the brow
Beaming with confidence, unexplainable joys
Face lit up like a child in a shop full of toys

Giddiness so intense
Burns from within
Churning then bubbling up inside
Surfaces creating a grin

So high and elated the heart could explode
Exciting urges and thoughts consume
Not considering what is about to unfold
Always a shock , this familiar tune

Euphoria never lasts for long

To expect that would be wishful
Falling from the clouds again
Pulling curls out by the fistful

Crashing from the heavens      Plummeting  down to earth
Smashing through the world as its known
Into darkness the devil’s turf

Gasp for air to no avail
Winded to the bone
No escaping this reality
Back into hell you’ve been been thrown

To go from floating in paradise                To being plunged into terror
Frozen body mind in shock
Thoughts begin to error

Terrified for no reason                              The feeling of swallowing lead
Harmful thoughts and urges consume
An unshakeable gut wrenching dread

Eventually things slow down
A sigh of relief it has finished
Mind and body back to earth
The world wind inside diminished
