This Tiny Desk Concert touches me in all the right Places.

Who doesn’t love a little soul music?

Okay, maybe some people don’t, but to be honest, I don’t understand them. A lot of music has the ability to alter our moods, but really nothing makes me feel the way soul music makes me feel (except maybe Jerry Garcia).

And right now, I’m looking for anything to help soothe the existential dread I’ve been feeling from the perceived impending doom on the planet.

But, of course, I’m not trying to escape the pain, I’m trying to feel it fully and be truly present with the aches of my heart.

And there’s just something about soul music that knows how to touch me in all the right places.

And this particular Tiny Desk performance by St. Paul And The Broken Bones always hits me right where it hurts (in the absolute best way possible).

And from reading the comments, I’m assuming others have been moved by this performance just as much as I have.

Here are a few of my favorite comments that can definitely vouch for me and the way this performance makes me feel:

>> To the woman that broke this man’s heart…thank you.

>> Hallelujah brothers and sisters! I threw my crutches to the floor. Stood up. Took a step and did a face plant. Loved the music even from down there.

>> You cannot teach soul. This man oozes soul from his pores.

>> That was the quickest I’ve ever gone from first note to purchased album.

>> His voice breaks my heart—I love it!

>> So much f*cking soul. This is the kind of stuff that gets my blood running through my veins.

>> Man, this is music that grabs a hold of my soul.

>> I believe the technical term for what he’s doing is preaching. Message received.
