On August 27, 2022, we are invited to connect to our intuition by way of our physical essence under the new moon in Virgo.

New moons are a time to focus within, in meditation or contemplation—it’s not necessarily a time for outward expression. It’s a time to connect with ourselves and consciously check-in.

This new moon is in the sign of Virgo; mutable Earth. It’s the sign of the zodiac that represents harvest time; when the crops are ripe and taken to market. We move things around (mutable) and make changes, allowing us to provide support and nurture our bodies and the bodies of our community (Earth).

Virgo is a sign of service, and the area of your natal chart is the area in which this energy is expressed for you. This energy is highlighted as a new beginning under the new moon. New insights may become clear as we tap into our intuition under the dark sky.

We become aware of the ways we’ve neglected our own needs because to serve others we need to take care of ourselves first.

Virgo represents the physical body, the digestive system, and the intricate details of the systems. Our intestines absorb so many nutrients, so it’s important we take care of our body in ways of movement and nutrition.

For me, I’ve become more aware of the full-body experience. I’ve started exercising more and nourishing my body with great food. If our bodies are running smoothly, we have more capacity to share our energy with others.

Now is the time to overflow our own cup so we can share it with others.

Last month, during Leo season, we connected with our heart center. We’ve (hopefully) become more clear on what lights us up—now is where we fuel our bodies so we can experience more of the heart-centered connection with self, others, and spirit.

What fuels your body in a way that feels good? Is there any part of your life that needs to be restructured or organized in a new way?

What activities bring you back to self and re-energize you? How can you fit more of that into your day?

When we lean into the sign of Virgo through physical self-care, we plug into the earth and ground our energy. This allows us to reach the opposite sign of Pisces and connect to our spiritual self.

We root to rise and connect to a world that is outside of ourselves, only when we are grounded and have created a sense of safety within the vehicle we’ve been given in this life.
