Zero to sixty isn’t nearly fast enough.
For people who practice what is known as love bomb.
Hearts aflutter, the words pour out
Sweetheart, babe.
They scream and shout.
Feels intense – too much, too soon.
Thoughts swirling in my head,
Too good to be true?
Talk is cheap, but it sounds so nice.
Falling in “love”, my biggest vice.
Then all of a sudden, it’s over and done.
Like a switch has been flipped,
The love is all gone.
Left feeling confused, angry and hurt. Replaying conversations,
wondering why it didn’t work.
Now sitting alone, no calls and no texts.
The silence so loud,
asking, what do I do next?
Meanwhile the person you once knew,
the one who made you so smitten.
Has already moved on
to their next love bombing victim.
