“There is healing in Black seed for all diseases except death.”

Many refer to it as “the blessed seed”. It has been referenced in the Quran (see quote above) and in the Bible four different times. But what makes this particular seed so special, you may ask? Or Is it true that it is a cure-all for any type of ailment, or are these ancient words thwarted by modern medicine?

With so many people looking to natural remedies to combat health issues in order to avoid harsh side effects you see from many pharmaceuticals, black seed oil is one that commonly is brought up due to its many uses. While it isn’t something typically prescribed by a doctor, hundreds of studies have been done on black seed oil all over the world. Time and time again it proves itself as being a powerful anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, antiviral, antihistamine, and anticancer when compared to pharmaceutical drugs.

The amazing thing about this is, is that people who used black seed oil experienced not only zero side-effects from taking it, but tons of unexpected benefits.

What is in black seed oil that makes it so effective?

Black seed oil contains over 100 different nutrients, and counting. Minerals like calcium, potassium, selenium, zinc, magnesium, and vitamins A, B, B2, B3, and C are among those nutrients. However, the superstar nutrients found in black seed are three powerful phytochemicals: thymoquinone, thymohydroquinone, and thymol.

Thymoquinone has been studied by researchers since the 60s and has become known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. Reports have shown that it has help those suffering with encephalomyelitis, diabetes, asthma, and carcinogenesis.

Thymohydroquinone is one of the worlds strongest acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors. It can safely help with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, autism, glaucoma, and neurodegenerative conditions.

Thymol is a natural monoterpene usually found in oil of Thyme. In additional to being flavorful with a pleasant aroma, it also has many other benefits including powerful antiviral properties that can be used against tuberculosis and other viruses.

What are some of the health benefits of black seed oil?

The list of benefits is very long, very impressive, and very diverse. For thousands of years it has treated a wide variety of health issues, but research being done today can point out some of the most popular benefits:

Fighting cancer
Diabetes
Asthma
MRSA
Helps with weight loss
Fights acne and eczema
Helps with hair loss
Allergic rhinitis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Supports healthy liver
Boosting the immune system

When using black seed oil…

The biggest complaint is of the strong peppery taste. For some people, it’s a little more tolerable than others. But for those people who can’t stomach it in liquid form, it is also available in capsule form. However, what a lot of people are doing to gain the benefits from it is adding it to their anti-inflammatory diet in salad dressings, smoothies, and chai tea.

You need only look at reviews of black seed oil products online to find out how many people are swearing by this. I first decided to research it after reading hundreds of reviews from people who swear it helps with their chronic pain and inflammation, hair growth, cholesterol, and even provides them with the best sleep of their lives. It seemed to good to be true like so many other things, but sometimes those things are true anyways.

It’s no wonder “the blessed seed” has been used for thousands of years.
