The Journey of the In-Between. {Book Excerpt}
Kyra Coates has been an artist since she was 18 months old and studied at the Corcoran School of Art, and the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She became a professional artist at the age of 21. After a profound spiritual experience, she spent several years of early adulthood living as a nun in an ashram. She then went on to study at Naropa University, focusing on understanding the psychology of enlightenment. Now she paints from experiences of feminine power and awakening, often as a reminder to herself of that power, particularly for those moments her four daughters drive her absolutely nuts.
