I am a Person. {Poem}

woman lay in grass

I do what I want,

Mostly.
And I follow my heart
Closely.
I run and fly and I go
Aimlessly
To find where I’m meant to be
Purposefully.
And I lie and I lay and I sigh
Passionately
Forgetting my plot and my stage
Fervently.
I’m here and I’m now and I am
Currently.
I hear and I see and I say
Powerfully
That I am a woman
Undoubtedly.
But I am a person
Overwhelmingly.
This doesn’t define me it is me,
Permanently.
A person. A woman. A human.
Certainly.
