A Letter to the Wounded Feminine from a Man who Cares.

“Why do I need you in the light, if I do not find you in the dark…” ~ Kahlil Gibran

~

I speak to the wounded feminine. You know who you are.

You’ve been suffering for aeons.

Suppressed.
Dishonoured.
Disrespected.
Taken for granted.
Dehumanised.
Feared.
Overpowered.
Limited.
Condemned.
Degraded.
Raped.
Traded.
Devalued.
Used for sexual pleasure.
Abused.
Persecuted by religions.
Mutilated genitally.
Castrated emotionally.

“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.” ~ Charles Bukowski

Now, you’re confused and you lash out. And you (justifiably) think men are the enemy.

Attracted to your suppressor, you’re drawn into a world of shadows.

And you want to take from men.

Take as much as you can.
Take money.
Take children.
Take houses.
Take everything and run.

Take revenge for all women who’ve suffered in history.
Take your power back.
Take men’s power away.
Take your sexuality back.
Take all the wealth you can.
Take traditionally male jobs.

Take male authority.
Take male credibility.
Take male respect.
Take male dignity.

Demean and crush the divine masculine.

This taking your power back is healthy.

Taking revenge is not.

Dominating the masculine is not healthy.

Emulating the masculine by suppressing your femininity is not the answer either.

You want to be a man in a man’s world.

You want to take over from men.

You want to crack the whip, climb the mountain of corporate success, and show men how it’s done.

You’ve forgotten how to be women in the process—and you’ve devalued the feminine.

Women (and I speak to the divine feminine), where is your heart?

Did you forget what it is to be a woman—to be compassionate, to be a support—fertile ground for ideas to sprout?

“Your heart knows the way, run in that direction.” ~ Rumi

What is it within this deep feminine wounding that seeks to lash out at men and crush their masculinity?

What is it within women that they seek compensation from men legally and financially as entitlement payments?

What is it within women that seeks to become like men when given positions of power—or energetically to become like men, so that they can be stronger and more empowered?

“Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence.” ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

~

We walk this path together.

Men plead for support, so they can again express a healed and whole masculine—a healthy masculine energy. Women beg for a forgiveness that must come from deep within the feminine knowingness, the collective unconsciousness.

Let’s release our shadow darkness and give rise to a wholeness based on mutual respect, dignity, and common good. That is our destiny—that is our calling.

I love you, women. I am of you. I am with you.
