For a long time,

she listened to the voices

of those who told her

she was too wild—her spirit too untamed.

She let other people’s approval

tamp down her magic

and smother her intuition.

She let the weight of others’ opinions

sever her connection with the earth,

crush her ethereal imagination.

But in time, she learned that

beauty and magic come from within.

And she knew

it was time to let both of them bloom.
