Humpty Dumpty sat on his wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King’s horses
and all the King’s men
couldn’t put Humpty together again.

So they faced a choice:
What now to do?
The kingdom ruled by an egg—
cracked, and so bruised.

Along came a man, who said:
I will try.
I know I’m not perfect,
But hear me: I won’t lie.

The people debated.
It tore them apart.
A cracked egg who’s all shell,
or a stutter, but with a heart.

And then, the sun rose that November day
As the people linked arms:
“Our choice has been made.”

And they never looked back,
moving forward come whatever.
Nevermore so fragile—
No:

Stronger, together.
