One Day……when this COVID thing ends.

So here we are, COVID-19, we are now changed for the better, with open minds and open hearts, victorious in our fight against you, innovative in our ways of being while self isolating, and determined, now more than ever to change the way we live our lives. For this we thank you.

You may have stopped us in our tracks for awhile, but it was just long enough for us to see the beauty that surrounds us everyday, to notice what wasn’t working because it really didn’t matter in the first place, and to realize what truly brings us joy.

We can now step outside without hesitation, for a handshake, a high five, and a hug.

We will show more compassion and kindness to this world we live in, to each other, but we will start with ourselves.

We will stop and enjoy the little things in life because one day we will realize they were the big things.

We will live and celebrate everyday just because, we will invite people into our homes and not worry if our hair is combed or the house looks perfect and tidy.

We will rise and shine and give thanks to each new day. We will show up everyday and allow ourselves to be seen just as we are.

We will remember that we are still all in this together, this being life, although our paths are different.

We will have seen, and now know what true heroes look like.

We will now stay home when we are sick no matter what, and will never take our health for granted because this life is a precious one.

We will no longer clutter our homes and lives with stuff because the things we truly need in life cannot be bought. Kindness, compassion, joy, peace, love and laughter.

We will tell those we love what they mean to us now, because it won’t matter what we say about them after there gone, it will matter only how we treated them while they were still here.

We will no longer make special plans for one day or someday because that day is everyday.

We will never again be afraid to live each day like it was our last.
