Love is a Test

Love, love, love is a test.  It enters through the back door.  We really don’t understand how it takes hold of our emotions, but love does.  We are weakened and submit our being to love.

Everyone needs love.  We thrive on it.  We need a little pat on the back or just a little hand shake.  A wink will do.  I am not here to explain what love is.  I only know what the virtues are.  The good side of love.

Love brings satisfaction and graces our personality.  Love is a test that has no right or wrong answers.  Love is a virtue that dedicates us to a cause or person. Love directs us.  Love is a virtue that educates us to being a better person.

Love can stay hidden form your voice for years.  The virtue wasn’t expressed for 85 years to me.  My uncle (whom I lived with for all those years) finally expressed the virtue on his death bed.  “I love you!” His last words to this day keep me alive.  You never forget love, love, love.  I can not rush to him now to repay him.  It’s too late.  I wonder if I ever told him that I loved him?  The lesson of love is that it is a virtue that needs to be given now in the present tense.  Don’t wait.

Poets and philosophers have been trying to tell us about love for hundreds of years.  Animals have a natural instinct for the virtue.  We humans are conditioned by letting the virtue come in through the back door.  Just keep that door open.
