I write articles in my second language, but Philip Crowther covers the news in six languages.

Wow! I am deeply impressed.

A clip of an international affiliate correspondent for The Associated Press went viral this week. Crowther is reporting live from Ukraine.

But not only that, he does that in six different languages. Six!

It’s not surprising that there aren’t many journalists in Ukraine right now, as tensions seem to escalate into a military conflict. So, that’s already one good reason to respect the work of Crowther. We need journalists more than ever these days, and I am more than thankful for these brave people putting themselves at risk to keep us updated.

But let’s talk about languages.
