Shattering Quotes on Love, Loneliness & Heartbreak that Feed my Soul (& might Feed Yours).

A few months ago, someone wrote that I was known for writing about love, relationships, and loneliness.

I didn’t realize I had a particular genre in my writing style. But a quick scan at just a few of my articles confirmed the fact that this was true.

With titles such as “Don’t be afraid to let go: there is good in goodbye,” “Moving on isn’t conditional: why we’ll never find closure from someone else,” and “It always comes back to him: when two hearts are meant to be,” it would be hard to deny this label.

The fact of the matter is, I write what is in my head, heart, and soul. I write about what I know, how I feel, and the things I’ve been through. So, I’d say I most definitely write about love: the love we all want. I write about loneliness because I have felt this most of my life. I also write about relationships, especially those terrible heartbreaks. I just may be the queen of broken hearts.

Regardless of a few hiccups, when it comes to love, relationships, and loneliness, I’ve been able to come out of it all in one goddamn piece.

I’ve discovered that this life isn’t perfect. Our hearts can break, sometimes over and over again. And that is okay because we will move on.

I realized that just because the world created a recipe for what happily ever after is supposed to look like, we don’t need to have all those ingredients to achieve our happiness. We get to write our own recipe for what happily ever looks like.

And when I’ve felt most lonely is the exact moment I was able to create who I’m supposed to be.

What gives me strength when I feel like I just might break? What inspires me when I feel like I can’t go on? What helps me understand that what I am going through is not the end but the beginning of something wonderful? What encourages me to believe in myself when it feels like the world is coming down on me? What opens my heart to the possibility of love?

It all started with a simple quote I stumbled upon one day. It changed my perspective on how I was feeling. It gave me hope. And from there, I was in love with quotes about love, loneliness, and heartbreak. Quotes written by unknown authors. Quotes by famous writers. Quotes by Hollywood stars. And quotes from movies.

Quotes feed my soul. Quotes are inspiring and powerful. And that is what keeps me going.

Here are some of my favorite quotes about love, loneliness, and heartbreak that just may feed your soul, too.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Loneliness:

“Take a shower, wash off the day. Drink a glass of water. Make the room dark. Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence. Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting. You are enough even when your heart has been hurt by someone you love and care about. On the days where you stand in front of the mirror and don’t feel like yourself, you’re enough on those days too. When you’re exhausted, run off your feet, and didn’t finish everything you needed to that day, you’re enough then too. You are enough, you are always enough, and you always will be. But how many times does your tongue run itself over the spot where the tooth once was, probably a hundred times a day? Just because it was hurting you does not mean you don’t notice it. It leaves a gap, and sometimes you see yourself missing it terribly. It’s going to take a while, but it takes time. Should you have kept the tooth? No, because it was causing you pain.
