People who work with money are bad

Got your attention yet?

Good.

I bet you’ll think I’m one of those anti-capitalist hippies but this couldn’t be further from the truth.

I love money.

I love what it can provide and I love to work with it.

But the truth is that there are A LOT of shit people who work with money.

Yep, I’m talking about those folks who give zero shits if they lock you into payment plans you can’t afford, or who secretly add in extra fees, or who lie outright and sting you for hundreds … thousands … tens of thousands (hell!! Even millions!!) of dollars

I’ll call these people: Financially Unethical Fucktards

And they exist.

Perhaps you’ve encountered them yourself.

My encounters with these people are few (I’ve never been much of a financial victim to others) but my partner works in finance, specifically in the commercial lending world and so I’ve had ample time and opportunity to learn and be part of a world that many don’t

Occasionally he comes out of his office shaking his head in disbelief at the incredible levels of inappropriate and outright unethical behaviours he sees in commercial finance.

Just the other day he was helping someone get out of a bad money situation (ie. debt and not enough cash to deliver contracted work) that a Financially Unethical Fucktard helped them into.

You see … money isn’t bad. It’s good. (It’s actually neither, and actually just neutral)

It helps people provide for their families, it creates opportunities and possibilities for creativity, purposes and charitable endeavours. It creates ease and pleasure and a lot of it feels … well … ABUNDANT!

Sometimes my partner and I discuss the immeasurable stress that some people are going through when they’re in bad financial positions … sometimes an Unethical Fucktard can be a contributor to family breakdown, suicide and financial ruin.

But when people get the right solutions for their businesses and projects (assuming their own relationship to money is sound and their business is ACTUALLY profitable) then we see incredible outcomes.

Success breeds success.

Confidence breeds confidence.

Money breeds money.

And Financially Unethical Fucktards breed despair, horror and ruin. For themselves. For others.

So don’t hate on money: not the cash or the borrowing of.

And make sure you’re not a Financially Unethical Fucktard.
