Yoga is a fun way to help kids focus and practice stillness. It teaches them how to self-regulate their emotions and mood, helps them build confidence, and develops body awareness.
Recently, I was asked by some moms to pull together a resource list for kids yoga, so they can practice with their kiddos at home.
Below you will find 25 games, books, videos, and podcasts, all dedicated to helping you bring more yoga into your and your child’s life!
Yoga Games:
1. Yoga Pretzels (Yoga Cards) – This colorful deck includes 50 fun yoga activities for kids and adults. The instructions for the poses are simple and interactive.

4. Yoga Dice Game by ThinkFun – This game encourages teamwork in a way that is simple and fun. It’s a great game that teaches focus, breathing, mindfulness, and flexibility.
5. Yoga Dice – Roll the dice to create a unique practice with your kids. When kids you allow your kids to help to create the practice, they are more engaged and activate their imagination.
6. Unicorn Yoga Activity Set – This game takes yoga to the next level! It’s engaging, colorful, and fun. And unicorns draw children in 🙂

7. My Daddy is a Pretzel – This book introduces yoga in a clever and creative. It relates yoga to everyday life and is great for both kids and parents.
8. Yoga with Music by Cali’s Books – A wonderful book for toddlers. This book plays five nursery rhymes and connects the songs to yoga poses. It’s interactive and calming.
9. Alphabreaths: The ABCs of Mindful Breathing – This is a thoughtful book that teaches children the ABCs while simultaneously teaching about breathing exercises in a playful way. One of my favorites is Cake Breath where you imagine blowing out candles.
10. Breathe Like a Bear – This book is a beautifully illustrated collection of 30 mindful moments. It’s calming, imaginative, fun, and accessible.
11. Breathe – Simple and beautiful for young kiddos. I love reading this before bedtime.
12. Angry Octopus – This book is a wonderful tool to teach kids how to manage their stress and anger. It teaches them how to relax their entire body.
13. Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth – This is a visually beautiful, unique, and bright rendition of a Hindu mythology.
14. Let’s Play Yoga! – A great book that teaches kids about yoga, Sanskrit, and the Yamas and Niyamas in a simple and playful way.
15. Let’s Make Yoga Magic – An interactive book for toddlers. The illustrations are adorable and clear that children can follow along easily.
16. Zoo Zen – I find that kids love to imitate animals. The story is easy to read with rhyming verses which I find keeps kids engaged over and over again.
17. The Grateful Giraffe – This book teaches kids about feelings through yoga. This is a great resource to teach about mind-body connection.
18. Little Tribe Yoga, Flow-Along! – This book offers 11 yoga sequences with a flow-along album. The kids absolutely love it!
Videos:
19. Kids Yoga and Mindfulness Instructional Videos by Wee Yogis – This playlist includes 28 videos designed to introduce children to yoga and mindfulness through music, fun, and interactive play. Children will develop balance, coordination, and focus; and will release stress, gain confidence and learn to express themselves. This playlist includes adventures such as Sound Hide-n-Seek, Superheros, and How to Grow Plants.
20. Wee Yogis Play the Musical – Based on the Wee Yogis Play album, this play takes place in Yogaland and is filled with adventure, learning, and light. It teaches kids about yoga, courage, and believing in yourself.
21. Cosmic Kids Yoga – This channel offers interactive adventures that build strength, balance, and confidence. Cosmic Kids take children into space, into the ocean, and fairytales.
22. Magical Ms Kimberly – Ms Kimberly teaches children how to use their magical powers of imagination, energy, and love through songs, stories, and imaginative adventures.
Podcasts:
23. Wee Yogis Podcast – I launched this podcast to share everything kids yoga and mindfulness. I’ve been teaching yoga to kids for over 20 years! I interview experts, share tips for parents, and provide classroom tools for teachers.
