Come to the Edge with this Full Moon in Sagittarius. {June 14}

*Whether astrology is science or magic, we’re open to most things, if they may be of benefit. ~ Ed.

On June 14, 2022, there is a full moon in Sagittarius, inviting us to reflect on what our beliefs mean to us and where they come from.

This energy could possibly persuade us to let go of the beliefs that are limiting us and holding us back from our big dreams.

I have been questioning my purpose a lot lately. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m at the tail end of my Saturn return, or if it’s just the nature of the world we’re living in today, but it’s something that’s weighing heavy on my mind.

As a collective, we’re in a huge period of healing, and part of that is healing the stories that we were told in childhood. It is said that our beliefs are formed before the age of seven, and many of us still hold onto those core beliefs as adults.

It takes a lot of work to rewire the beliefs that hold us back, but it’s also worth mentioning that these beliefs once kept us safe—and they may no longer be serving us.

Sagittarius is mutable fire—which means it is action oriented, always shifting and moving like a raging forest fire, uncontained and unpredictable.

Mutable energy enjoys endings, change, and letting go. Sagittarius is the sign of the seeker. It represents the archetype who leaves home to explore and to learn through experience, which is why it rules travel and higher education. It’s always searching for meaning and asking the big questions.

This Full Moon is in conflict with Neptune, which could lead to a desire for escaping, whether that’s by getting on a plane and leaving the country or reaching for the substance that will take us out of our reality.

The high expression of this is to meditate, contemplate, and to find acceptance and compassion. The invitation is to reach for a higher power (rather than the bottle) and to our higher selves for guidance and inspiration to move forward on our path.

When it all feels too hard, what do I reach for to comfort myself? Is it serving me or is it holding me back?

We have support from responsible Saturn. It’s a great time to reflect on our conditioning. We’re ready to break through the barriers that we’ve imposed on ourselves, and Saturn can help us review what is no longer moving us toward our goals.

Full moons are generally a time to release, and this one in particular is a great time to move past our limits and show ourselves what’s possible if we let go of the beliefs of our past and create new beliefs that are more realistic.

I lost my stable income job in 2020 like many others. Luckily, I was already on a path of creating my own business (and I told myself I wasn’t ready to go all in). The universe had other plans for me when I was let go, pushing me to put all of my energy into my own business. I had used my other job as a safety net and as an excuse not to follow my dreams because “it was safe.”

That’s where many of us are right now, and I’m so happy I followed my heart because now I get to help others do the same.

It was scary (it still is), but it fills my heart with more gratitude than I’ve ever felt before.

It feels as though we’re at a breaking point, and before the breakthrough, we have to hit the wall and ask ourselves if it’s worth it because we will always be faced with letting go of something first. Here is where we let go, lighten our load, and push through our comfort zone with confidence.

The ruler of this full moon is Jupiter, which is now in Aries. Aries is the sign of the self.

What is best for me? What do I want? What would I do if I didn’t have to answer to anybody?

So, on this full moon in Sagittarius, my wish is that you let go of the beliefs that limit you, and I will continue to do the same.

I’d like to share a poem that feels fitting for this full moon.

“Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It’s too high!
Come to the edge.
And they came
And he pushed
And they flew.” ~ Christopher Logue

Let me know in the comments what you are releasing (or celebrating) on this full moon in Sagittarius. There is power in speaking it and putting it out there, so please use this space to do so.
