Tips for Planning Holiday Content Without the Social Media Anxiety

If you sell on every social post, you don’t get it.

Yea, I said it. Selling on social media is not just a new place for infomercials. Social media is about connection FIRST, followed by community, and then heart-centered sales.

Even for the best creators, this concept seems to go out the window during the holiday sales season. More now than any other year, companies are trying to “get our money.”

Break the mold and showcase your holiday vibe before you ever get into your sale.

Create interest now:

  1. Do not start on the Black Friday
  2. Create intrigue and interest throughout the month for your products or why now is a good time to jump into your services
  3. Tease that something is coming

Don’t let the hoopla of all the big brands coming in for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales to prevent you as a small business from jumping in too.

This is the time of year when you get to give to the community that has supported and trusts you.

What to discount and why:

  1. Check your data from the year: what is a client favorite?
  2. Keep the best discounts on Small Business Saturday to Cyber Monday

Holidays to keep in mind:

    1. Small Business Saturday: announce that you are participating
    2. Sofa Sunday: Get an email or post out on that day or the day before
    3. Cyber Monday: Share what you’re buying
    4. Giving Tuesday
    5. Green Monday: Dec 12th
    6. Free Shipping Day: Dec 14th
    7. Post-Christmas Week to New Years
