Light-Shifting Magic: How a Moment of Darkness Transformed to a Place of Love & Light.

The December 21st program was billed on Facebook as the 2nd Annual Sacred Solstice Concert featuring Kristin Hoffman in Partnership with Unity Earth.

I couldn’t wait. Ahh. Peace at last. One beautiful hour of Kristin’s healing music, her sonic alchemy, unconditional love, and peace.

I lit candles around the room, turned off the glaring lights, cuddled up on the couch with my husband, reached for his hand, put a blanket over my lap, connected to the Zoom link, shifted into a calmer mood by inhaling and exhaling more deeply and more slowly than before, and then counted the moments until 8 p.m.

The concert was called, “Renewing the Light from Within.”

It was the perfect title for what Kristin transmits. She embodies light, an all-embracing heart, and each sound penetrates deeply into my soul.

To open the concert, Sister Dr. Jenna would bridge divisions by doing a worldwide meditation. I was ready for her spiritual light and so was my beloved husband.

The minute she began speaking, I relaxed to open my heart to all humanity. Next, Ben Bowler, the founder of Unity Earth, announced that Kristin would be singing from her home studio.

Both of my hands were already placed on my heart and I couldn’t wait to be transported to another space and time.

Just as we moved from Sister Dr. Jenna’s home space to Kristin’s home location, the light we all felt from the meditation shifted to the horror of seeing dark words and intentions blinking endlessly on the screen.

Zoom Bombers Alert! Disgusting racist words were repeatedly shown. Words of hate, ignorance, darkness, and evil.

Initially, we were all shaken to the core. Who expects the unexpected? Why would this happen amid such loving intentions? Why does this happen at all in the world?

And then…Light-Shifting Magic.

I witnessed the moment within precious Kristin in which her inner strength and her ability to only focus on why she was there—to bring light and healing energy to the world—came through her in milliseconds, and there she was singing “Shanti Om” in her glorious voice and with her healing hand gestures. Gestures that welcome us into her light-filled soul and sound healing environment filled with promise and possibility.

And it worked. I could breathe again.

While I was still in shock, horrified, and confused, I could also feel light and breathe it into my soul and into the world.

I am sure that I wasn’t alone. It seemed as if everyone was transported to a place of love and light.

Our primary lens: Light. Love. Hope. Caring. Compassion. Unity. Peace.

I was able to move from holding my breath and deeply feeling fear, disbelief, and trauma to shifting with Kristin toward light and love. We were one community of light-filled glow, and it felt that the cliché that light and love always win happened in real time.

I saw it. I felt it. I was part of the shifting. And I was part of the illumination. Even me. Empathic, sensitive, soft-hearted me could feel deep fear, darkness, trauma, confusion, and horror, and instead of allowing these thoughts and feelings destroy me, the darkness gave me the determination and strength to bring forth my light and love even more.

Kristen successfully transported herself and all of us to another realm in which only love exists, and even though there were people whose intention was to cause turbulence, through Kristin’s heart-centered direction, we sent our love to them, too.

Yes, why not wish them well? We have a shadow and light side of us, too. We are capable of the unimaginable and, at the same time, I believe that those who are troubled are also capable of shifting their hearts toward healing and love.

We met, we gathered, we were strong in numbers, we transmitted light, love, and grace, and it was a night that I will always remember because of its challenges.

Do we submit to the darkness, or do we travel toward the light of hope, no matter what?

We were tested, and we passed the test with flying colors, and by the way, we may be called to choose light and love and hope many times in the next four years and beyond—despite disruptive and horrific potential challenges.

It was the most memorable concert I have ever attended. Not because it was perfect or in our control. Because the unexpected happened. The dark shadow of wanting to destroy love appeared.

I’m proud to say that everyone who witnessed this multidimensional event walked the talk of lifting love to an even higher energy because of the darkness.

I leave you with quotes from my book, Peace Dreamer: A Journey of Love in Bad Times and Good.

The words offer my succinct personal view on why it is so important to shine light and love, be light and love, and carry your light and love wherever you go—no matter what.

Chapter 10, Words To Live By from the book, Peace Dreamer (Author’s note: The words in this book were channeled by an Energy greater than me).

1. “Be a lightworker amid the darkness.”

2. “Step boldly into being a positive energy force. All paths that embody peace and love ignite possibility, light, promise, and hope in ourselves and in others.

3. “Despite all the chaos, point your North Star towards peace, love, justice, unity, forgiveness, integrity, empathy, truth, kindness, compassion, and hope. We can only control what we can control. Stay the course. Know that you are making a positive difference.”

4. “Let’s embrace the healing power of the collective whole and envision what we could accomplish if we were willing to see each other through the eyes of joy and love.”

5. “Are all my actions, reactions, words, feelings and throughs aligned with my core value of love?”

Through this video, I leave you with one more gift to keep in mind and heart. Let’s make it our intention that love, light, and hope will be our inner compass every day. Happy light-filled holidays and Happy New Year.
