When Obama’s Presidency ended, I was sure he would be the best president of my generation—of my life.

I was wrong.

Joe Biden made change boldly, fundamentally—grew our capsized economy faster than any other country in the world, invested in equal rights for all, actually took on this climate crisis…and created some small measure of bipartisan patriotism in a toxic stew of rancor. He offered a return to ethical norms after the grift and lies and secrecy of Trump. We never had to worry about what corrupt deals Joe would do behind closed doors, or what division he’d sow in ALL CAPS at 3 am.

A man of faith, to be replaced by a man of greed.

A leader of kindness, to be replaced by a leader of hate.

A servant of democracy, to be replaced by a would-be king.
