Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis presents:
This week on our long-running “Walk the Talk Show” podcast and video series, with awards and millions of views over the years…
Waylon speaks with the Elephant community about the 2025 election and the power of small-d democracy in action.
“So much to celebrate last night. Meaningful victories for public servants who will serve us and US, across the board. The beginning— just the beginning—of a repudiation of Donald Trump’s corruption and willful destruction of democracy. But most of all: a reminder that most of us are good caring people. Let’s do this!!”

“Part of the mindful life is not checking out. We all have to care. Caring is, I think, my favorite thing. It’s the healthiest thing—for our own health. It’s the most transformative spiritual quality: we tend to obsess about ourselves, and try to make ourselves happy, and that doesn’t work. And then we extend our selfish caring about ourselves to others, and to our planet, and to animals…and suddenly we begin to actually, for the first time, be kind to ourselves.
Caring—it’s my favorite word.”

Can’t watch the video? Why not listen?
“This was a moment for democracy with a little ‘d.’ I’m not talking about Democrats versus Republicans. I’m talking little d energy saving elections from interference.” ~ Waylon H. Lewis

“Last night served as a rebuke to the corruption and the greed and the aggression we’re seeing. And it may have just saved the midterms. We have a lot of work left to do. But I don’t even mind if the 2026 midterms go left or right, if they go against liberals and for MAGA…as long as they’re honest and safe, that’s democracy in action.” ~ Waylon H. Lewis

“ Alright folks, this is Waylon—not signing out, not checking out, but checking in and staying signed in for the next three years. We need to make sure everything stabilizes toward some sort of sanity and that magic word: caring.” ~ Waylon H. Lewis

“What I am requesting is participation. Elephant has 13 million fans on social media and millions of readers, but we are only able to bring folks together around caring, fact-based conversation—people who disagree but can do so agreeably or respectfully—if you participate and right now independent media is getting killed by Facebook, et cetera.
They smother and suppress links. So when you go to elephantjournal.com, when you go to elephantjournal.com/best and get our free newsletter, when you go to elephantjournal.com/post and write something and share it—you keep independent media live, but more importantly, you keep respectful conversation, community, and caring facts alive.” ~ Waylon H. Lewis
