We stand on the precipice of a new era of self and the collective dawning.

A potent time of collapse and rebuilding all at once. A series of timelines converging and collapsing to make way for the new breath of life to expand our lungs and hearts in hope of what’s possible.

We began a calendar new year, but we await the more seasonal and energetically in tune astrological new year of western (March 20) and eastern origin (February 17). The year of the snake is still asking us to shed the old energies and former selves and the final elements of air (Aquarius) and water (Pisces) to cleanse us before we begin the year of fire in the fire horse and Aries energy seasons.

It has felt like a slower start to this new year, still in the cocoon and chrysalis of winter hibernation, of rest, of slowing down, of recalibrating. The energy has felt hollow, sludge-like at times, dense, heavy, and gooey. And thin somehow, wispy at best, with little to no tangible grasping point to anything solid and real, other than our own truth in each waking, walking moment.

The bursts of new life, of creativity surging, of new life finding us, of the possibility of change feels faint and distant somehow, as if we will blink once too many times in sleepiness as eyelids weigh heavy and miss our chance to leap through the portal into the new. How to live and be in a time where nothing is certain and so much is unknown?

As empaths, healers, sensitives, creators, artists, change-makers and innovators, dreamers and shakers, we may fear we’ve lost touch with the channel of our own creations. Creativity hasn’t felt inspired as of late, as if we are breaking through an upper limit of glass but can’t quite see through the fogged-over lens to see what’s on the other side of this feeling of restriction.

The energy of creation is the energy of God and the Divine, of which we all stem from though. The energy held within the web and fabric of nature. And yet, we exist during a time of great destruction, of deep clearing out of the old. Nature is showing us that before we begin anew, even more must be released so we can truly have the space to receive new beginnings.

Being in a receptive state requires a more sustainable pace, one of deep breathing, deep opening, nervous system in coherence with our heart’s wisdom, discernment, and truth of what is for us. To feel and know in our bodies what is a sacred no and what is a f*ck yes. The mind can have its stories, worries, and second-guessings. But the body wisdom always knows before we do. To know that feeling our emotions reconnects us back to the source of our vitality, the doorway to our creative channel of energy. So if we’ve been mired in overthinking, over-analyzing, dissociating, and numbing over our feelings in any way, our creative channel will be disrupted too. Most of us are seeing and learning that the old, over-masculinized way of push, force, override, and coerce is no longer working. A new, more feminine way, balanced in trusting our rhythms, our pauses, our slow downs, our cyclical spiraling of energy, more nuanced and fluid, must be intricately rewoven back into the tapestry of life for life to truly sustain us moving forward.

Capricorn energy and season has been a time to recommit to our work and to our long-term goals. Coming back to the density of this 3D reality, of which we are responsible for its care and maintenance. We have been moving through the energy, densely so at times, slower at times too. But steadily we climb up the mountain toward what calls to us still, even in small action steps of realignment with our truth. With so much Neptune in the air moving through the final degrees of Pisces, the final release point before a brand-new birth and beginning in Aries on January 26 for the next 14 years, we have felt the slow down and the fogged-over lens of view at times of where exactly we are going.

Pisces is our connection to the spiritual realms, the higher vision and mind, the dissolution of ego and form. The true chrysalis stage of dreaming. And sometimes we can feel forever stuck in the goo of the unknown form, the unknown creation, because we haven’t yet taken a new form yet. We are still goo-ing. So it makes sense we haven’t felt the strong, clear energy of the new taking form just yet because the old self-beliefs, and final layers of this chapter of dreaming and creating are still clearing out. New dreams have been percolating beneath the surface, but an intangible sense of how it’ll come together remains.

And this is when we are shown what really needs clearing and sweeping out. When we are in the goo of the unknown, the darkness of the uncertainty, which emotions and protective patterns surface? Do fear and self-doubt get louder? Do our logical minds convince us to hope and dream is futile? Do we gaslight our own intuition? Neptune removes what is false. Neptune in Aries will remove the false self so we can birth the true spiritually aligned and sovereign self. Neptune in Aries will ask for our commitment to this new, truer, spiritual sense of self. To this new identity. To our courage. To our boldness to start anew. To carve our new path and new frontier. To be brave enough to become vulnerable in the formative stages of this next creation. To accept the possibility of failure and looking foolish even. To trust the creative self even if at times has felt more distant and subdued or stifled. As Neptune makes its reentry back into Aries on January 26, we feel a growing ignition of energy, though. An inner cauldron stoking the flames of our spiritual desires again, even if it is slowly building in heat at first. Neptune will also be making a significant conjunction to Saturn on February 20 at 0 degrees of Aries. Neptune dissolves the false self so Saturn can build the new structures of self.

We are shifting now from earth into the lightness and levity of air, as the sun entered into the sign of Aquarius on January 19, the water bearer, change-maker, and shaker-upper energy Lord knows we all need. If you know an Aquarius, you know they are rebels with great heart and a rebellious streak to boot. Here to speak for the collective. Here to remind us of our shared humanity as one human race. A true heart’s rebellion against stagnation of the old ways, of breaking away from tradition. Aquarius season and energy reminds us to embrace our inner uniqueness and inner alien weirdness. To know that we are all just visitors here on this planet for a little while. We are stewards of the earth and of this global community. To know that community and the connections we keep make or break us. That to have a sense of Ohana and family we belong to nourishes us and supports us on more levels than being a single, me-myself-and-I entity trying to do it all on its own shoulders. Aquarius energy knows that we need each other. We can’t do it alone for much longer. We need the support of our communities and ally ships with others who resonate on similar frequencies and vibrational planes.

Aquarius demands freedom. And opposite to this energy is that of Leo, the self, the stand alone sovereign energy we need to be free and whole. The Leo-Aquarius axis is one we will collectively become more intimate and familiar with as the nodes of the moon shift to these respective signs later this year on July 26 for the next 18 months. Aquarius will shift to being the north node ruler, a time of future leaning into community-driven and centered, collaboration energy, and integrating of unique talents for the common good. Leo will shift to being the south node ruler, a time of leaving behind selfishly motivated energies, ego-driven motives, hyper individuality, and too much self-focus, to embrace more authentic self-expression and ways of relating with others.

A prelude to this collective shift begins with the second full moon of 2026, landing in the fiery sign of Leo on February 1 at 5:09 p.m. EST and at 13 degrees of the fixed fire sign. This full moon connects us to this energy of the self, the ego, the individual and our creative self. Leo energy is ruled by the sun, fiery, vital, and full of life. Connecting us to our inner fires, our passions, our creativity, and our inner child spark. Leo’s energy is bright and all encompassing. Leo energy can take center stage at a moment’s notice, the artist, the speaker, the entertainer, the life of the party. Leo energy in its light is playful, fun, bright, and here to reflect back to others their own light and creative spark. Lighting a candle in the dark is the true Leo way, reminding others that they too have a creative ember of flame within to stoke. Leo energy reminds us to not delay our own creative expressions. To bring them to life. To give them life and expression. Leo energy is our authentic voice and self-expression. How to embrace our unique voice and gifts in the world and let ourselves be seen. Being seen in our light and our gifts is the Leo way. And that requires courage and great vulnerability. Because not everyone will like us standing in the brightness of our light and gifts.

As ruler of the heart, Leo reminds us that the intentional self-love we cultivate becomes the foundation of our life and connections with others. To truly love the self is to know the self as love. Not in dismissal of the human shadow but to bring a sense of loving truth to parts of self in need of love or believing themselves to be unworthy of receiving love. The heart is a deep portal of our being that connects us to what’s truly worth our time and energy. Many sensitive souls have been deeply wounded in the heart space through familial upbringings and relationships with others, learning that love brings pain and armoring the heart was safer than leaving it exposed to more trauma, neglect, harm, and hurt. Armoring of the heart takes time, and so does de-armoring our hearts. Heart healing is a deeper embodied invitation of this full moon in Leo, to tend to the heart that has carried us through it all, the heartbreaks, the disappointments, the joy, the grief, and all the in-between. Feel, honor, and allow the heart to have a voice here and to truly be heard for all the untold stories it’s carried for you. Leo energy is loyal, loyal to all things worthy of the heart and of love. You are worthy first and foremost of your own devotion, attention, and heart-healing energy.

This full moon in Leo is a time to reconnect back to our inner fires and reignite them. Have we become disconnected from our own heart’s calling and inner compass? Have we placed our inner knowing into the hands of something or someone outside of us to decide our next steps? If so, we must call our energy and power back. Have we focused too much on the external, collective chaos and not enough on our own inner creative energy to birth new worlds from within? If so, call your energy and power back. Aquarius energy connects us deeply to the collective, to know and sense that the hurts and deaths of others are a mirror back to the self we are still at war with. End the war within and we shall know peace in the world. Leo energy says the self is where we need to heal, our relationship to the self, and let all connections stem off of that more healed and whole relationship with self.

This full moon is making an opposition to Pluto, now in Aquarius. The collective rebirth is underway. Pluto brings the change, the death, the rebirth, and the transformation we need even if it means bringing us face-to-face with our own limitations and fears first. Our own creative limitations will be breached here. To see where we feel afraid of owning our own creative power still. To know how deeply powerful we actually are as divine co-creators. Pluto knows that “Destruction after all is a form of creation” (Graham Greene). Pluto brings the destruction of the old so we can birth a new more sustainable and humanity-oriented world in service of the collective soul (Aquarius). Our prior sense of self and ego will be getting a shake-up here with Pluto in the mix. A crumbling and falling away of false ego structures no longer in service of the collective soul mission. It will be as painful as it needs to be to wake us up to our own ego-minded lenses in need of shedding. Pluto is here for the soul and nothing else. We can expect some emotional intensity as our egos get slayed, and the true creative soul within awakens even more. Our creativity is truly the only way to birth a whole new world for humanity. Pluto brings the change and transformation energy we need to rebirth our light and creative energy anew.

The full moon in Leo will also be opposing Mars and Venus, reminding us of the self we are becoming in our connections with others and how upleveling our self-value and self-worth aligns us to the connections truly meant for us. But we must release those that are not aligned with our truth. And take action that aligns with our ideals and visions of self and our individual purpose in the collective. If we are truly acting from our heart’s center, we are already in service to the collective mission. What brings our heart a sense of aliveness? Moving to a new aligned place? Believing a dream is still possible? Creating our art in the world? That is what the world needs more of, more of us living and operating from our heart’s calling and truth. That is how we bring collective change.

Uranus will be making a supportive trine to Pluto here, dosing us up with a sense of possibility, freedom, and liberation energy toward making the changes we need to make. Yes, the transformations can feel so scary and threatening to our previous sense of safety and security, but the shake-up may in fact bring us even more, truer safety and security from within. Trust and faith in self is needed here as we allow for the changes.

Uranus will be finally entering Gemini and leaving Taurus in July, where our minds and ideas will be going through a whole new process of invigoration and innovation. Our beliefs and perspectives are locked and loaded for a new way of moving and operating in the world. Where the sharing of ideas and our connections with others will launch us forward into the new reality. Uranus stations direct in Taurus on February 3, so our sense of security and safety around our resources has already undergone a shake-up here and a review period. Now it is time to bring forth the lessons of true safety and security from within and tend to the things that need to be sorted on a resource level so we can move forward feeling more supported.

Saturn finally moves into Aries on February 13, heralding a truer sense of self being built and a new beginning bent on responsibly taking the lead in our lives. A time to boldly begin anew, in a grounded and committed way toward the new chapter of our lives. How to take the initiative from a truer, more solid sense of our identity forming now. To have faith and patience with ourselves and what we are building. With all outer planets entering brand-new signs this year, new beginnings on all fronts beckon. And we are just getting started so we need to pace ourselves.

This full moon is an awakening of the heart, just before the first eclipse season of 2026, which will begin on February 17th (the same day as the Chinese new year and year of the fire horse beginning) for the first solar eclipse and new moon in the sign of Aquarius. And then in March, a lunar eclipse in the earth sign of Virgo. A back and forth energy this year between the Pisces/Virgo axis we’ve already been working with and the new energy of Aquarius/Leo energy to come. This full moon is the setup to this eclipse season already building. And a time to get truly heart-aligned and heart-centered. A time of deepening trust in the self. And in the support around us. To know and trust that we are infinitely supported by the seen and unseen realms. That our heart’s desire, mission, and purpose has not been forsaken. But we first must cease patterns of self-abandonment to our own heart’s calling.

We end this month with our first of three water-sign-falling Mercury retrogrades of the year in the sign of Pisces, as Pisces season also begins. A time to reflect on our dreams and where we might be getting lost in fantasy and delusion still. Where we are still not fully grounding our dreams into reality with the action we need to take. Escapism could be more rampant here too and ways of avoiding and disassociating from reality and getting lost in the mind webs. Reflecting and getting clearer on our dreams will be the way forward. This full moon in Leo lights the spark back up toward our dreams even if shaking us awake through some sort of change, transformation, or inner alchemical process. This month is chock-full of energies to boot, and it gets us ready for a full year of fire horse energy, steaming and blazing the path forward. And it’s okay if we still don’t feel the inner fire of creativity surging just yet. We can allow ourselves to be both/and. Grieving, releasing, and resting. And also, making space for our creative juices to stir and swirl us alive again.

Let this full moon stoke the flames of your heart. Bring heart-healing balm to the heaviness. Remind you that creativity is a spiral, ebbing and flowing. And yet, we must continue to gather the courage and recommit our energy to creating the new even while the old is still collapsing. That even as chaos external in the world swirls around us, we can powerfully be creators of peace. To know that you are cyclical and a part of nature too, to trust the contraction and the expansion of energy. Allow this full moon to shake you up in the ways needed to be more authentically you. Let yourself be seen. Let your light emanate outwardly. And also inwardly into the crevasses of darkness you still feel safer hiding in. Tend to the inner child, nourish them with love, play, rest, and so much acknowledgment for all that they are and all that they’ve survived. The inner child is the creatrix of life after all. Let this full moon remind you of your light and creative power. Allow the heart to soften and speak its truth. Guide you deeper home into the safety and belonging of your eternal light. Channel your creative energies into what brings you life and what helps others along their own path too. We are all awakening to the light and truth. Tread lightly on your heart and others. All a part of this collective tapestry of awakening.
