Short Meditation Practices are Just Great.

Yolz_37451

How often do preconceived notions of how we think things should be cloud our ability to appreciate life just how it is?

I have recently had this experience with my own meditation practice.

There was a time in my life where I practiced daily for 45 minutes to an hour.

We can be such a quantitative society believing more is better, longer equals stronger, etc. We all want to be able to weigh ourselves against a number so we can have a sense that we are successful.

But meditation is about the opposite of gaining success.

There is nowhere to go with meditation, truly nowhere to get.

We just stay where we are and look at reality as it is.

And that is what I have had to do with my own meditation practice.

Look at where it is right now, then show up and appreciate it.

In my life right now my meditation practices are short.

Most days I am doing short, high vibration, enjoyable meditation practices.

They consist of five to eight minutes of very silent but energetically charged time with myself.

This is what is so great about short meditation practices.

They are effective, they are realistic and they will create change in our lives just by taking the time to train with our own minds.

This is because when it comes to meditation a little goes a long way.
