We only Regret the Chances we Didn’t Take.

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.”  ~ Amelia Earhart

The powerful wisdom of yesteryear,

spills

like an abandoned basket of marbles
that scatter and splay across the floor,
like the starbursts of the intelligence in your soul.

Ignored and suppressed.
Rolling aimlessly: this way and that.

Enough to slip up an army of the excessively busy
marching to work—just short of a run.

Where are you going?
What are you doing?

The wisdom of yesteryear.
Commanding the hearts of the alive and awakened.

I believe you’ve heard the call.

How long will you push it away?

Where am I going?
What am I doing?

Is this what matters most to me?

Time is so precious.
Time is so precious, my dear.

Love filters through my being
for all the souls who walk this Earth—beside themselves

with worry.
With fear.
Frustration and expectation.
With regret.

If you continue along this trajectory, where will you find yourself?

Is that where you want to be?

Does that invoke the life of which you dream?

And honestly, what actually matters? To you?

Is this it?

Does it pack the punch?
That meets your soul and fuels your fire?

Time is so precious.
Time is so precious, my dear.

Our fears are paper tigers.

Are you willing to let this important thing…

…simply slip away?

Like abandoned marbles of ancient clarity—spilling aimlessly across the floor.

“In the end…We only regret the chances we didn’t take, the relationships we were afraid to have, and the decisions we waited too long to make.” ~ Lewis Caroll
